The End of Pax Americana

Yes, Pax Americana was about projecting power, military, economic, and cultural might.

Yes, it was not perfect. Exporting democracy, stirring the pot in Central America in the 1980s, two wars in Iraq, the occupation of Afghanistan, just to name a few. These sins are unarguable and indefensible in my mind.

But it was also about projecting an ideal of democracy, freedom of speech, chasing your dreams, and all those intangible values that I happen to believe make for a better society.

There is no denial that the idea that the United States stands for these values have been eroding for years -- some would say decades -- now but the speed of the decline has been accelerating with accelerating acceleration in the 2020s and in my estimation even faster in the last couple of months.

I was cautiously and hopefully optimistic that this decline would stop and the Pax Americana would hold. And not just in a touchy-feely general sense but also because as things stand right now the only alternative for world hegemony is the Chinese Communist Party. I know with every fiber of my fabric that it would be devastating beyond description. And I am convinced without a shadow of a doubt that it would be devastating for You, personally, Your family and friends, and each and every living soul on this planet.

Unfortunately the time has come to put caution and hope aside and face the music. I am calling it: the Pax Americana is over.

The leader of the free world cannot be a country whose leader speaks like this:

If I want to be polite it is the polar opposite of President Theodore Roosevelt’s phrase: "speak softly and carry a big stick". It projects weakness, anger, and aggression.

If I want to be honest -- and I chose my words very carefully and with a lot of consideration so please do excuse my French -- it is the most fucking disgusting speech by a fucking sad fucking excuse of a fucking soulless and fucking corrupt fucking shell of a fucking human being who fucking happens to be the most fucking despicable and fucking pathetic fucking president of the fucking United fucking States I have ever heard in my fucking life.

Every single word uttered by this fucking piece of shit is a nail in the coffin of the Pax Americana.

Having grown up behind the Iron Curtain and having read 1984 by George Orwell I know exactly what this speech sounds like and what it means. It is bad. Very bad. I never would have thought it possible, not even in my wildest nightmares that I would hear such an ugly beyond description drivel coming out of the mouth of an American President. It’s the end of the world as I know it.

Here’s hope that the Founding Fathers created such free and strong country and society that can survive such a brutal assault on its core values by this soulless empty vessel of a waste of space and his kind. For their sake and for our own. For the sake of the ideal of freedom.
